Pitch Reconstruction for Local Authority Local authorities have been using the services of Professional Sportsturf Design (NW) Ltd for many years. However, recent grant aid from NOF or Football Foundation schemes has led to a large rise in the number of Local Authority teams requesting our skills.

PSD often plays a varied role within the local authority system; able to act as a turn key company and provide associated Architects, Planning Supervisors and Quantity Surveyors if needed. PSD can also act as part of the local authority team, providing specialist advice on construction systems and maintenance for winter sports pitches, golf courses, bowling greens or synthetic surfaces.

Site Assessment
PSD have been involved in initial site assessment for numerous Local Authority NOF and Football Foundation bids over the last 3-4 years. These have involved site evaluations for Councils including Burnley, Preston, Wigan, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Wakefield, Burry Port, Kidwelly and Llanelli.

Specification and Build
Once grant aid has been awarded, then PSD have also been involved in the development of the contract documents including detailed specifications and drawings. If needed, site inspections have been made to assess quality of work and, where necessary, approve contractor's valuations.

Quality Management
Unlike many consultant agronomists, PSD is registered with the Centre for Assessment Ltd for BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Quality Guild.
